Capitec Ikhaya – Head Office
Situated in Technopark, Stellenbosch, our client Capitec Bank wished to create their new ‘home’ for their business in the Western Cape. The word Ikhaya, is of Xhosa origin and means ‘home’. The project was initiated in 2016 and completed in late 2020. Planning Partners’ responsibility was to design the hard and soft landscaping to compliment the sleek modern building designed by DHK Architects. The hard landscape design occurs mostly on the podium deck, above the underground parking facility, paving design mimics the organic shape of the building, contrasting muted greys as the colour palette. University Stellenbosch – Decanting Building
The University required a building to ‘decant’ staff and students to - a temporary space, while buildings on campus are being upgraded. Planning Partners formed part of a large team of professionals and were responsible for the hard and soft landscape design. The is situated north of the Engineering Faculty in Hammanshand Road, Stellenbosch. The project started in 2019 and was completed in 2020. The University is serious about sustainable design and this brief was applied throughout. King Air Industria
Currently under development by one of our blue-chip clients, Atterbury Property, King Air Industria (former King David Golf Course) has town planning approval for 280 000 m² of floor space featuring warehousing, distribution, showrooms and offices. Construction on site is progressing nicely, with first phase infrastructure set to be completed by May 2021. Planning Partners is the town planning consultant on a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
